FAQ’s: De-Solv-it® LAUNDRY SAVER™

## What are the primary differences between LAUNDRY SAVER, CITRUS SOLUTION, and CONTRACTORS’ SOLVENT? +

LAUNDRY SAVER will remove some of what CITRUS SOLUTION removes but targets more specific protein, grease, oil, mustard and even baby-related stains. CITRUS SOLUTION and LAUNDRY SAVER are wonderful complements to each other as they collectively remove over 90% of the tougher household and laundry stains you may encounter...EVEN AFTER THE DRYER.

CITRUS SOLUTION is better suited for everyday icky, sticky, gooey, oily, waxy, household-related challenges around the home, on skin, clothing, carpet and upholstery. It has more rinsability (which helps when used on laundry) and doesn’t usually require a soap and water rinse like similar products. It also removes A LOT MORE challenges such as pasta sauces, fresh paints and stains and even bug residue.

PRO CONTRACTORS’ SOLVENT is a stronger version of CITRUS SOLUTION and removes even tougher challenges including cured silicone, roofing tar, asphalt and caulks.

## Can I use CITRUS SOLUTION on my automobile to remove soot, sap, tar and bumper or window stickers? +

YES. CITRUS SOLUTION is safe to use on your automobile, using instructions for hard surfaces. CITRUS SOLUTION will not harm dry paint or clear-coat finishes. This product is an excellent wax remover so after removing asphalt, grease and tar, you may want to relax your vehicle. To clean interior stains, use the instructions for carpeting and upholstery. CITRUS SOLUTION may also be used on vinyl and non-tinted glass since tint is usually applied with adhesive. Be sure to wash CITRUS SOLUTION off rubber surfaces after use.

## How can I remove lipstick, gum, tar, and grease from my carpeting? >

As long as CITRUS SOLUTON does not reach the carpet backing (which typically is made of adhesive which CITRUS SOLUTION is an EXCELLENT remover of) and stays on the pile itself, use, but use with caution and according to product instructions. Simply spray CITRUS SOLUTION on a clean, white rag and work the greasy, gummy substance out of the carpet. When you’re done, gently wash the carpet area with mild soap and water and rinse well with clean water. Repeat if necessary. For best results, extract with a wet-dry vac or carpet cleaning machine to extract all of the soap.

## I left chewing gum in my pocket and it got all over my clothes. Help! +

Apply and let work for 2-3 minutes to set. After treating, the gum will be able to be scraped off easily from surface and then wash clothes as normal to remove any leftover residue. Check them before putting them back into the dryer, repeat cleaning of any areas as necessary.

## Crayon was left in my child’s pocket, went through the dryer and it got all over my dryer and clothes. Help! +

Remove the clothes from the dryer and follow the instructions on clothing. Please be sure to remove as much of stains as possible before reintroducing the garment to the washer. Check to make sure all of the stains are removed prior to reintroducing the item to the dryer. For crayon, lip balm or wax removal in the dryer, use CITRUS SOLUTION as you would on hard surfaces. It may be best to apply to a rag that can be discarded, then wipe, or apply to a paper towel and wipe so excess product does not penetrate tumbler air holes. Afterwards, wipe with a moist or damp cloth to remove any lingering residue. Make sure appliance is thoroughly dry before running again.

## Can I use CITRUS SOLUTION to remove melted candle wax from linens and my fine furniture? +

As long as the linen isn’t silk (see cautions) and doesn’t bleed when wet, it should be fine. if a colorfast washable, simply follow the directions on clothing. Please be sure to read cautions on silk and non-colorfast washables. Simply follow the instructions for hard surfaces. Then wipe it clean and top with your usual furniture polish. As with ALL delicate materials and surfaces, we recommend you always test in an inconspicuous area before applying widespread,

## Will CITRUS SOLUTION work to remove lipstick? +

CITRUS SOLUTION is an excellent lipstick, oily cosmetics and liquid foundation remover. Simply apply according to surface directions and wipe the lipstick or greasy, waxy mess away. Repeat if necessary. For lipstick stains on clothing, follow the laundry pre-treat instructions.

## Can I use CITRUS SOLUTION on leather, silk or suede?

CITRUS SOLUTION is not generally recommended on materials such as leather, silk, or suede as it will likely darken these materials. In some cases where the material can be rinsed with mild soap and water you may see less darkening. Many customers have opted for slightly darker leather versus discarding the item.

## Can I use CITRUS SOLUTION on glass? +

CITRUS SOLUTION™ is non-corrosive and will not harm glass. CITRUS SOLUTION is used quite often on windows, glass and wood frames, mirrors, shower doors and other glass surfaces. After removing the soap scum, stickers, soot or other challenge with CITRUS SOLUTION™, wipe with a wet cloth or paper towel. Then finish up with your favorite glass cleaner for best results.

## Will it remove dried finger nail polish? +

CITRUS SOLUTION will remove fresh nail polish, but just like dry paint, it removes fresh not dry. CITRUS SOLUTION can typically used used on dry nail polish without removing it.

## Can I dilute CITRUS SOLUTION? +

CITRUS SOLUTION contains no water, only 100% active ingredients and therefore is non-dilutable. A little goes a LONG ways however so there is still great economy as is. We do offer an All Purpose Cleaner that is great for everyday cleaning and can be diluted per instructions.
